Home Program Descriptions
Toddler Time

Every Monday at 9:30am or 10:15am for one and two year olds along with their parent/caregiver. We sing, we read a book, we make a craft, and we play! Younger siblings are always welcome. No sign-up required. Here are this month’s themes.

Story Hour

Stories, activities, and crafts for three to five year olds with a parent/caregiver. Suitable for children who are able to follow directions, listen, participate, and sit quietly. No sign-up required. Here are this month’s themes.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Calling all teens (grades 6-12)! Talcott Free Library wants to hear from you. Help us make decisions on teen programming, book choices, and more, while earning volunteer hours by joining our Teen Advisory Board (TAB). Former and new members in grades 6-12 are welcome.

Teen Writers Club

Do you like to write short stories, poetry, or prose? Come share your work and get feedback from other writers like you. Optional writing prompts will be provided. Sharing is not required, but it sure is fun! Open to grades 6-12.

Talcott Free Yarns

A group for knitters and crocheters around Rockton, IL.  We come together at the Talcott Free Library once a month to share ideas and projects, learn something new, show what we know, and sometimes just to knit and crochet with friends and neighbors. All experience levels welcome! We meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 6-7pm, bring a project or some yarn and curiosity! Find us on Ravelry at www.ravelry.com/groups/talcott-free-yarns.

TFL Book Club

An open book club that comes together once a month to talk about different books on a single topic. We choose the topic, you choose the book. Come in and select a book from our TFL Book Club Recommendation Shelf or choose a title on your own. Meetings are on the first Monday of the month 1-2pm.

We are a strong community partner that provides a friendly, safe space for generations young and old to strengthen their knowledge and enrich their lives. Please consider supporting your library.
