Monetary Gift

Talcott Free Library accepts monetary donations to help support the growth of the library. Monetary donations of any size are accepted. This support helps Talcott build their collections, provide programs and improve technology.

Volunteer

Teen and adult volunteer opportunities are often available at the library. Volunteers are used for various tasks as well as for specific projects. Stop by the library and ask to fill out a volunteer application (or print one here and drop off completed).

Adopt-A-Book

Stop by the library in December and choose a book from the selection provided to add to our collection. Talcott will add a bookplate with whatever name you would like and you receive a gift acknowledgment to take with you. It’s a great way to memorialize a loved one or give a special gift for the holiday season. This gift is tax deductible.

Donate Books

The Friends of Talcott Library accepts donations of gently used books and AV items that are sold in used book sales. Donations are tax deductible. Damaged, musty, and well used books can be recycled in your curbside pick-up, as can encyclopedia sets, magazines, and out of date nonfiction books.

Friends of Talcott Free Library

The Talcott Library Friends group welcomes new members. Meetings are usually held the 3rd Monday of the month and involve activities which promote the library. If interested in learning more about the group, please ask a staff member to add your name to the mailing list which announces meeting dates and times, or call 815-624-7511
